Nabepero Team Building ’22

Colored Hearts

Opting for an outdoor activity in Cebu is not that hard. We have a lot of suitable places to choose from that offer many activities that the team might like and most of the time the weather is splendidly fine. So when the company chose to go to Solea Resort and Spa in Mactan as the venue for our team building/company outing, everyone was thrilled and ecstatic. It was sunny Los Angeles at that time. A day to see each other in their beach outfits ready to loosen up and have fun.

With the group assigned to 2 smaller teams, the day became a friendly competition – each got to have a name and chant for their team. Organizers were able to employ physical activities that got everyone’s A-game out (and a lot of sweat – good thing there is a big round pool to dive in after). Adding a competitive side always increases noise levels as spectating colleagues give their teammates big cheers and vocal encouragement. This adds to the atmosphere and heightens skill levels as participants try to impress with their commands and problem-solving skills. All the teams rotated around each activity so everyone got the chance to experience all activities that the venue and organizers had to offer.

At the end of the morning activities, the teams were greeted by the sight of the resort staff opening the buffet section for lunch. The ice-cold beverage section was the first to be ambushed by thirsty exhausted colleagues. Along with the highlight of the food table was the savory adobo, sweet and sour fish, and Lechon, which was the dish everybody went crazy for the most.

After everyone became content filling their stomachs, each team was combined into one group for a final activity. It was then the group was able to work hard on presents prepped for the first place – aside from the free food and unannounced winners, it was to strengthen the bond and be together as a team. All shared their insights on the topics of trust and cooperation.

The day ended with an activity that let everyone show their love and gratitude to one another by sticking colored hearts. The coordinating team really put thought into the day thus making it a success as a team-building event.
